Nikolai Taidakov was born in 1954 in Novosibirsk, Russia. He exhibited in Germany, Russia, Spain and Austria. He lives and works in Munich, Germany.
The painter finds inspiration for his paintings in music and lets himself be guided by his feelings. In his works, for example, he juxtaposes historical figures such as Catherine the Great and Marilyn Monroe. Again and again he brings to light the question of the relationship between an object, its representation and its designation. His pictures have the complicity, the artistic originality of the author and thus the valuable attribute of perfect recognition. The expressive richness of substance and mood of his canvases is capable of physically shifting the viewer's moods, judgments and sensibilities in time and space.
