Schluh.art eV – Preservation and Movement for Artists' Estates

The non-profit organization Schluh.art eV has made it its mission to take intensive and sustainable care of artists' estates. We believe that the legacy of artists should not simply be stored or sold. Rather, we see it as our mission to keep these works "in motion," to make them visible, and to give them the appreciation they deserve.

Our resources for holistic care

As a non-profit organization, we have a broad network of volunteer helpers, funding sources, and sponsors who support us in professionally and sustainably managing artists' estates. Our tasks include:

  • Perspective-based analysis : Historical and artistic classification of the works.

  • Exhibition : Organization of exhibitions to make legacies accessible to the public.

  • Storage : Professional storage that ensures the long-term preservation of the works.

  • Documentation : Careful archiving and digitization of the legacies.

Keeping legacies in motion.

Our goal is to keep artists' estates alive. Instead of hiding works in storage or leaving them solely to the market, we focus on making them accessible to the public and actively engaging them in cultural discourse. Whether through rotating exhibitions, loans to museums, or collaborations with art institutions – estates should tell stories, inspire, and open up new perspectives.

Become part of our mission.

Schluh.art eV is looking for people who would like to entrust us with artists' estates, as well as supporters who would like to accompany us in this important work.
