HOMO LUDENS
Invitation to the exhibition of Siegfried Zademack at the Schluh Gallery
Galerie Schluh is pleased to announce the upcoming exhibition by renowned Bremen painter Siegfried Zademack . Under the title " HOMO LUDENS" (The Playing Man), we present a large selection of his fascinating works, which transport the viewer into surreal visual worlds.
Siegfried Zademack, born on December 24, 1952 in Bremen, has been working as a freelance artist since 1980. His self-taught exploration of the techniques of the Old Masters, particularly the Italian Early and High Renaissance through to Mannerism, shapes his unique style. Zademack's works are characterized by a masterful combination of classical painting techniques with surrealist motifs, skillfully interweaving art historical quotations with elements of the modern world. His paintings invite the viewer to think beyond the boundaries of time and space and open up new perspectives on familiar themes.
After his first exhibitions in Bremen and Heidelberg, Zademack's career was initially closely linked to Worpswede. Here, together with the then Galerie Bollhagen, he realized his first major solo exhibitions with over 50 works, as well as participating in Art Basel.
After many solo and group exhibitions at home and abroad, as well as international attention from lovers of surrealist art and collectors, he is now returning to his roots in Worpswede.
Only in the spring of this year, the exhibition "The Sleep of Reason" took place, his largest exhibition to date in the KAKTuS Cultural Forum Lüdinghausen eV instead of.
We are all the more pleased to be able to bring a large part of this exhibition to Worpswede in autumn 2025!
